About Your vision

“The promise of the future is an awesome force.”

Have you ever wondered why so many men work so hard and honestly without ever achieving anything in particular, while others don’t seem to work hard and yet seem to get everything?

They seem to have the magic touch. You’ve heard the expression, everything he or she touches turns to gold.

Well the “Gold” is because of a “Goal!” Some have them, some don’t. People with goals are pulled by what is known as ‘the promise of the future”, and if the promise is clear and exciting, you will pay the price.

On the other hand, if you can’t “see” all of the benefits and “feel” all of the emotions associated with achieving your goals, you’ll never develop the courage it takes to reach them.

As Earl Nightingale said in his famous recording. The Strangest Secret” about the power of having goals… “Think of a ship leaving a harbor and think of it with a complete voyage mapped out and planned, the captain and crew know exactly where it’s going and how long it’ll take. It has a definite goal. And 9,999 times out of 10,000, it will get to where it started out to get.”

“Now let’s take another ship just like the first, only let’s not put a crew on it or a captain at the helm. Let’s give it no aiming point, no goal, no destination. We just start the engines and let it go. I think you’ll agree with me that if it gets out of the harbor at all, it will either sink or wind up on some deserted beach a derelict. It can’t go any place because it has no destination and no guidance and it’s the same with a human being.”

Nightingale’s point was rather obvious; if you don’t know where you’re going, it’s awfully hard to get there, in fact, how would you know when you got there?

And since your thoughts clearly control your actions, “you become what you think about!”

It stands to reason then that if you focus on a worthwhile goal, and the “reasons” for achieving it, your actions become meaningful and in alignment with the achievement of that goal.

Men with goals succeed in life, while men without them fail. With goals, you’ll find that good luck just seems to be attracted to you. The things you want just seem to fall in line and from now on, you won’t have the problems, the worries, the annoying lump of anxieties that perhaps you’ve experienced before.

Doubt, fear, and worry become things of the past. Once again, here’s the key to success, and-the key to failure… you become what you think about!

It is written, as you sow, so shall ye reap. The land doesn’t care what you plant, it will return poison in just as wonderful abundance as it will corn.

The human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land, but it works the same way. It doesn’t care what you plant: success, failure, a’ concrete and worthwhile goal or confusion. But what you plant, it must return to you. The latest research shows that the brain has 60 billion nerve ending cells, it has been called the – largest area of unemployment in the world! The human mind is the last greatest unexplored continent on earth. It contains riches beyond our wildest dreams. It will return anything we want to plant. Now you might say, well if that’s true, why don’t more people use their minds? Well, I think they’ve figured out an answer to that one, too.

Our mind comes as standard equipment at birth. It’s free, and things that are given to us for nothing, we really don’t appreciate.

Unfortunately, things that we pay money for, we value. The truth, of course, is the exact opposite. Everything that’s valuable in life came to us gratis! Our minds, our souls, our bodies, our hopes, our dreams, our ambitions, our intelligence, our love of family and children and friends and country, all these priceless possessions are free. And the things that cost us money are actually very cheap and can be replaced at any time. The human mind isn’t used because we take it for granted.

An entrepreneur can be completely wiped out and make another fortune. I don’t recommend it, but the truth is you can do that several times.

As Russell Conwell pointed out, you are now standing in the middle of your own “Acres of Diamonds”. Universities have proved that most of us are operating on 10 or less of our abilities. So decide now, what is it that you want?

Appreciate and harness the law, plant your “Seed” and let the miracle work for you. Plant your goal in your mind. It’s the most important decision you’ll ever make in your entire life.
